Customer Reviews

By Laura Graham "MrsGriza" (Nashville, TN): This is my 2nd Juicer, and with Juicers you totally get what you pay for. My old model was a Waring pro and it was very hard to clean, and most times I had to clean in the middle of juicing just one glass because the basket would be filled. This juicer is much more effective and makes more juice, as well as being big enough to juice more veggies in one round. I am VERY VERY pleased with this juicer and wish I had saved myself the time and trouble years ago by spending the extra cash. It is VERY easy to clean and use! Highly recommend!
By NYC Girl (NYC): I just got this a few days ago. I have never juiced before and was hoping to enjoy it. The unit is larger than I thought it would be - I'll be the only person using the juicer and I guess I took the "compact" in the title too literally. I washed all the parts first - didn't put it in the dishwasher. I don't think I'm going to. My first juice was apples, beet, ginger, and carrot. I was amazed at the unit's power. I washed everything, but didn't peel the items. I went a little overboard and made too much juice but the final product was quite delicious (I added a bit too much ginger though). The pieces were easy to clean. The instructions state that citrus should be peeled, but otherwise, I just tossed everything in and inserted the carrots skinnier end up. I would like to create some juices that aren't as sweet so I'm going to investigate other recipes.
By JERRY R. "JR" (central Arizona): CONS: I could only get about 10oz of juice at a time before having to clean the whole darn thing. No pulp reservoir to hold enough residue. Juice came out with about 40% foamy stuff on top of the juice which didn't settle after refrigeration. Cleaning is no fun, you have parts everywhere. PROS: UNIT WAS MADE WELL JUST NEEDS A REDESIGN.
By Meg W. (San Diego, CA, USA): My Breville juicer arrived in perfect condition. It's very good looking. It is fast and has only two internal parts to clean. It doesn't take any effort to juice beets and other solid veggies and fruits. This juicer is super fast. I gave up on juicing because I previously had two different machines that had numerous parts that required me to use the manuel to figure out how to assemble each time. They were also a nightmare to clean. Not the case with this great Breville juicer. The Breville cleans up in less than a minute. The solids can be used in breads and cakes as the solids aren't all soppy wet like other juicers produce. I have several parrots as pets and I roll the collected solids into little fruit and veggie balls and feed it to them. This is a great machine and worth the very reasonable price.
By John Cook (Burlington, KY United States): I originally bought this to juice pineapples. It works great for that. But then I read about a lot of people juicing fruits and vegetables for meal replacements. I've been doing that too and really enjoying it. This juicer is a very well-built, sturdy machine. I was surprised how big it is considering this is the "Compact" version. It's larger than our blender, roughly the same size as our full-size food processor.
